It’s hard to make generalizations about humans, but your human character has these traits.Ībility Score Increase. Magical communities are typically well hidden from muggles, but can be found in almost every part of the world. You can view a printable google docs sheet here, and as always, everything is free to use!Ĭomprised of muggles, wixen, and squibs, humans populate the majority of the world, most of them perfectly ignorant to the existence of magic.

Note: “wix” is a gender-neutral term for a magic user in the Harry Potter universe, which I use below as not to be confused with Wizard as a D&D class. Of course, everything is up to interpretation, and DMs should feel free to prune and edit as desired.įeatured below are humans (which include magic users, muggles, and squibs), metamorphmagi, part-veela, werewolves, half-giants, goblins, vampires, dhampirs, merpeople, centaurs, and house elves. They might not all be balanced, but I’ve tried to remain true to what I know about these races in Harry Potter.

Two of my deepest loves are Harry Potter and Dungeons & Dragons, and in the spirit of wanting my two loves to marry and have lots of babies, I have thrown together some Harry Potter races designed to be playable in D&D 5e!Īll of these are derived from the racial traits in the Player’s Handbook and Volo’s Guide to Monsters.
